These days, I am in love with country, old fashioned weddings- especially when sunflowers are involved! I think  this is such a rustic and romantic theme, which of course is very prominent within wedding trends for this upcoming wedding season. Sunflowers are such big, bold and beautiful flowers that stand out at your wedding, creating a happy and light-hearted ambiance to your wedding.

This gorgeous inspiration was created after I stumbled across the gorgeous Ruche wedding bridal collection that seems to have sprung right from the great Gatsby and 1920′s fashion. As the Great Gatsby hits box offices on May 10th (in the United States), directed by Baz Luhrmann, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire (among many other famous stars), many upcoming brides are choosing a roaring twenties, speakeasy, flapper wedding theme.

When I came across this romantic old fashioned country story on GreenWeddingShoes, of a couple that met on a real life cattle drive, which included over a 100 horses and mules being herded over 4 days across 100 miles of rugged terrain, I was thoroughly inspired and impressed.  The couple knew their wedding of course had to be inspired by how they met, continuing with the western romantic country theme.
