This gorgeous inspiration was created after I stumbled across the gorgeous Ruche wedding bridal collection that seems to have sprung right from the great Gatsby and 1920’s fashion. As the Great Gatsby hits box offices on May 10th (in the United States), directed by Baz Luhrmann, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire (among many other famous stars), many upcoming brides are choosing a roaring twenties, speakeasy, flapper wedding theme. Here we present some Great Gatsby Wedding Ideas.

As I stumbled across this stunning 1920’s themed wedding collection pictured above , I could not help but create an inspiration board paired with one of our vintage damask wedding invitation styles created by the Monogram Gallery. They feature a vintage tea-stained colored background combined with an elegant black damask and classic scroll text- a perfect depiction of 1920’s elegance and glamor. As you are planning your vintage wedding, don’t forget to decorate with fitting accessories. I love the phonograph pictured above, and how it would fit elegantly into your wedding photo shoot. As well, choose a venue that would resemble an architectural structure of that era- such as a vintage mansion (think of the amazing parties Gatsby threw in his house!).

Of course, your wedding attire will reflect the fashion that was worn in the roaring twenties. Feathers and sparkles are a must, as well as kitten heels and (fake) fur shawls and coats. Pearl necklaces, bow ties and top hats should also be worn.
