Red White Wedding Invitations | Winter Wedding
It seems that this year, winter has lasted longer than ever. We are all longing for summer, the warm breeze and of course taking time off to go on vacation, or even just swimming in the pool on a steaming hot afternoon. However, wedding planning stops for no one, and you have to start organizing everything early! This is why, just at the beginning of spring and summer, you should look ahead and start deciding on details if you are planning a winter wedding.
There is a certain beauty and charm of a winter wedding: horse drawn carriages, amazing snowfall photo opportunities, beautiful decoration options and of course snuggling up with your new husband in front of a roaring fireplace at the end of the day.
Winter weddings have many charms and benefits, so don’t be cautious to plan your wedding during the months of December to even February! Even though a winter wedding may seem a bit daunting (mostly because of the cold!) it has certain pluses that make it a little more enticing. Weddings during the winter can be less costly because December through February is considered the slow season for wedding vendors, so you are able to negotiate prices and many of them offer discounts! You are also able to decorate your wedding with amazing decorations, such as the wedding table settings pictured above. They are simply gorgeous- I love the white and red ball bouquets of flowers (almost like Christmas tree ornaments!). Glitter and ribbon are two things that are very hot this upcoming winter wedding season and all the latest trend setters agree it will dazzle your guests.
What I love about the inspiration board above, is that it is a modern take on a winter wedding. Bold colored decorations and accessories are chosen in the appropriate places. The dark red bridal bouquet is a solid statement piece that makes the bride stand out against the white background (this is a great accessory to use while taking your wedding photos, especially if your photo shoot is outside in the snow!). I also find the top hats for the groomsmen with red velvet lining an adorable addition.
As for your venue, choose something cute an quaint, yet modern. This red and white church in the middle of a snow covered forest was a lovely find and fits perfectly to this theme. Having an eye-pleasing venue such as this one allows for you to be creative with your wedding photo shoot- don’t forget to take some sweet shots while there is a light snowfall, or walking through the forest with your groom to be.
This wedding theme is unique and of course beautiful. It allows you to experiment with many different possibilities and decorations, that will be memorable to you and your guests for their rest of your lives.
