Vintage Alice in Wonderland Wedding Invitations
Oh Alice in Wonderland, how I loved that book (and still do!) when I was younger. I fantasized about falling through the rabbit hole and into the magical world of Wonderland, following Alice through her adventures. So when I came across these vintage Alice in Wonderland wedding invitations designed by one of our sponsors, the Antique Chandelier, with the original drawings from the book, I fell in love instantly. They feature a vintage canvas print background, with a hint of antique music notes, paired with a modern and scroll text, all the while creatively designed with the original Alice in Wonderland graphics. You can completely customize the invitation by clicking here, or on the link below. You will be directed to the personalization page, where you will be able to input your own wedding information. Don’t forget to browse the whole collection, as there are matching RSVP cards, reception invitations, table number cards and more!
While trying to find pictures to fit with this inspiration board, there are definitely more than enough to choose from! Alice in Wonderland has been such a popular theme for weddings, as it allows you to be creative and explore that desire to travel through the world of Wonderland, just as Alice did.
As these wedding invitations by the Antique Chandelier take more of a vintage twist to the story, I have chosen the images above to reflect this choice. Use light pastels, vintage china and elegantly classic accessories. For example, I love how the wedding cake has been designed with a Alice in Wonderland graphic fondant, as if it had been taken right out of the book!
No Alice in Wonderland wedding theme is complete without a old fashioned tea party. It might be a fun idea to hunt old second hand or antique shops for vintage tea cups- don’t worry about them matching, the more mismatched the more creative the party!
Last but not least, decorate your wedding with subtle accessories from the book, such as using the Mad Hatter’s top hat as a table number holder, or litter finger foods and drinks labelled with ‘drink me’ or ‘eat me’.
This is such an adorable and exciting theme, so don’t forget to have fun while planning it!
